Losing your luggage is a fate that every traveler or holidaymaker dreads. When you’ve spent weeks meticulously planning, buying things and working out exactly what you’re going to bring with you- it can be frustrating when your bag goes missing. And unfortunately, this is a common occurrence. Things get stolen, bags get loaded onto wrong flights and sometimes it seems like they just disappear into thin air. You can do just about anything on your phone these days, and having what’s essentially a computer in your pocket is of course incredibly useful. Apple’s own ‘Find Friends’ app is a good one for when you’re travelling in a group. If you get split up or lost, a quick check on the app shows you exactly where everyone is. No more setting a meeting point and hoping people turn up if you find yourself separated from the group! This can give you more confidence when you’re travelling as a group as there’s no worry about anyone wondering off and getting left behind.

Websites like Foursquare and TripAdvisor are a traveller’s best friend. You can find out what a place is like and if it’s the sort of establishment you’re after before going. Rather than ending up in places you’re really not keen on. It can be fun coming across new places by yourself when you’re travelling. But if you’re looking for something in particular or don’t want to waste money on places that you know you won’t enjoy, then this makes it much easier to narrow things down.
