Cloud computing is the popular and accepted way of today’s computing, and Viewsonic VSD241 works that way. You get the taste of cloud computing in your own home but in a device that is not traditional. The 24 inch display is a full touch supported screen and it has multi touch support. You get full Google Mobile Services (GMS) certification with this television. And you also get the access to the Google Play Store and the freedom to install apps as you like in this device. You experience a different way of using touch screens, touching on this 24 inch HD display is indeed an experience you might have never experienced before. The VSD241 is a new product, but it’s based on the designs of VSD 220. Viewsonic lifted the face of this display and also put some innovations to boost the performance. This display comes with a quad core processor from Nvidia and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The 22 inch display’s intuitive nature; and the flexible and simple design have been kept.

The marketing director of ViewSonic Europe, Mark Lufkin said that they felt like expanding their market of these ‘all in one’ devices from the market after launching the VSD220 AIO and so this 24 inch sibling came. He also added that with this new product category, the post PC transition has been made easy for the consumers and businesses that are alike to theirs. He expects that this TV will promote cloud computing in a whole new way, while maintaining the HD experience in a 24 inch screen which bridges the gap between smart devices and a PC.

The configuration is pretty impressive. The processor is an Nvidia Tegra 3 Quad Core processor, the same one used in the Nexus 7 tablet. This processor offers smooth and lag free web surfing, video watching, game playing etc. experience. The TV is compatible with wide range of human interface devices so controlling will not be a problem.

The TV contains an HDMI input for computer or cellphone inputs, USB ports, option to add SD memory card for memory expansion, broadband internet port, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It also comes with a 2 megapixels front camera; and the 3D SRS speakers will give a surround sound experience that you usually get from your traditional HD TVs.

This television is not yet released for consumers, it will be released in Europe market in June and the price is expected to be 549 euros.
