A Million Times Clock by Humans since 1982 is made of 288 traditional two-handed analogue alarm clocks stacked on top of each other to create unique clock design called “million times”. As the designer says a clock design that mix of old and new, analogue and digital. This clock will be unveiled at Design Days Dubai at the end of March.
This post says that A Million Times Clock;
“All 288 clock houses together create one giant display similar to that of a digital display, all hands move to their new location, creating a choreography of 576 rotating hands to form extensive texts besides elaborate customized patterns and graphics.” says gallery Victor Hunt.
“Locked in its functionality to show the time, the natural character inherent to an analogue clock with its two arms constantly dancing in slow motion around the center, unveils hidden figurative qualities without denying its primary purpose.”
