  1. Responsive website

With more than half all internet users accessing your website on a mobile device, it needs to look fantastic. Your website needs to function and thrive on an iPhone, just as it does on a laptop. That means investing in a responsive website. ‘Responsive’ means that the design automatically snaps and adjusts to suit the device that loads it. Your site will look great on a desktop, an iPad, or an iPhone.

  1. Apps

There are over a million apps on the App Store. There are another million on Google Play. Having a functioning app is quickly becoming a basic necessity for businesses. It’s also a brilliant way to add value to the customer experience. You can go above and beyond your traditional service. Best of all, you can reach out to them via push notifications.

  1. Location based services

One of our favourite things about mobile marketing and technology is the ability to use geo targeting. Using your app, you can identify your customer’s location, and tailor your service to them. One great example here is Starbucks. They use their app to send a notification when a customer is close to their coffee shop. It might even include a discount code. It’s smart, intelligent new marketing.

  1. Advertising

The mobile world opens up new avenues for advertising. However, it’s very tricky to get this right. You’ll notice how most apps now have some form of advertising built in. There are thin banner adverts hidden inside the app. You can also include advertising in mobile Google searches. Just remember, you’ve only got a small space to work with, so make it count!

  1. Texts

In the modern world, texts might seem like an ancient technology! But, we still use it every single day. It’s a lot like email in that respect. The technology still works, and it’s going nowhere. It’s a great way to reach right into your customer’s world, and market to them. You can use a web SMS solution to send bulk text messages from a computer. You can also receive any replies to the same place.

  1. Simplicity rules

A final note before we leave. Always keep it simple! Whatever mobile method you’re using, you’ve only got a small space to use. Get the point, and embrace simplicity.

Are you ready to embrace mobile marketing? You certainly should be!
