The Samsung Galaxy S4 is the current top model among Android Smartphones, but it could soon get serious competition. Huawei, it is the Chinese manufacturer that is known more for affordable entry-level and mid-range devices otherwise.

It rumbles in the rumor mill for a while now that Huawei has a high-end model called Edge Huawei planned. Now the first images of the Smartphone have surfaced. And they do a very promising idea.

So far there is still no official confirmation from Huawei, which is why the pictures are to be treated with caution.

Stylish aluminum housing

First thing on the images that allegedly show the Huawei Edge, it’s in a unibody aluminum casing. This is the main reason, which is likely for many users arouse interest; because it is the flagship of Samsung always the plastic housing is actually criticized. The Huawei Edge rumored to be just 6.3 millimeters slim and would therefore be the thinnest Smartphone currently has.

Android 4.2, quad-core and 13 MP Camera

The display of the Huawei Edge is a diagonal of 4.9 to 5 inches and has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. Next is rumored that it is powered by a quad-core processor, the Cortex A15 probably K3V3.

For clock rate is not yet known, the memory should be 2 GB, internal memory 16 GB or 32 GB. In addition we get a 13 MP camera, in the Huawei Edge. The battery capacity is assumed at 2,600 mAh. The Huawei Edge will come in June 2013 with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on the market.

It is still unclear whether the specifications that are circulating in the commercial for the Huawei Edge currently also correspond to the facts. And presumably at least in many countries there are no real competitions for the Samsung Galaxy S4, although it is full of technical resources at the level of the time. But it’s nice to see that there are quite alternatives to the smart phone giants like Samsung, HTC and many more.
